One More Monkey at the Zoo!

Since Abby had a doctor visit today, we took the day off from work and decided to go to the zoo after our checkup which went GREAT other than her 9 month shot! Abby's ear infections have cleared up and she is growing like a champ the doctor said. She is in the 97th percentile for her weight and height and the 89th percentile for her head. She is definitely a tall chunk! She is 30 inches tall and is weighing 23 pounds now!! No wonder my biceps are getting a workout!

We made it to the zoo just in time to see the penguins, gorillas and giraffes have lunch. We also saw a baby flamingo -- who knew they were white when the were born?! I didn't! Dad was quick to catch him imitating his mommy standing on one leg! It was lots of fun seeing all of the animals and to watch our little monkey take it all in! She enjoyed watching the animals and the people! Her nap time crept up on us though, so we didn't make it to the farm animals...we'll save that for next time.

9 Months....WOW!

Our sweet pea is growing soo fast! She's 9 months old today and is raring to go! While Dad was at a Mud Run in Orangeburg, Abby and I had some pics made to mark her 9 month birthday! We had a great time smiling for the camera but it sure is a lot of work keeping her sitting still! Here's the link to our success.



She's changed quite a bit in a short month! Here's what our busy bee is doing these days:

* PULLING UP and PULLING UP and PULLING UP on everything!!!
* Crawling on her knees, crawling army style and crawling crab style -- one knee down and one leg trying to walk!
* Chitter chatting like no tomorrow! Her LOUD noises are starting to worry us! I think we may have a little monster on our hands!!
* Saying Ma Ma now! :) MY Personal favorite!
* Banging on everything and her fav is to stand and bang on the crib rails
* Picking up everything including the smallest grain of sand off the floor!
* Drinking juice out of a sippy cup
* Starting to eat baby food puffs and ready to take on real food now!
* Clapping her hands constantly
* Reaching for our hands when we say "Hands" when she isn't preoccupied with something else!
* Trying to get into our kitchen cabinets!
* Giggling at things she finds funny...not just when Mommy and Daddy act silly.
* Chewing on everything .... STILL waiting on her teeth to come in ...don't have any yet, but we think they are definitely on the way.
* Playing constantly in her new class at daycare: the Creeper room.
* Keeping us smiling constantly! We love you, Abby!
