Dad's 30th Birthday

Dad turned the BIG 30 on April 23 and we had lots of fun celebrating. Tuesday night, we got together with his family for a fun meal. Then we took Friday off from work and headed to Charlotte for our first overnight trip with Abby and our new CR-V! We enjoyed using Dad's new "Navi" (GPS) to scoot around...she worked like a charm. Ikea was first on our agenda which was super cool. Needless to say, we bought a few things. After Ikea, we checked into the Hilton in downtown CLT and then scooted over to South Park for some shopping and a birthday dinner at the Cheesecake Factory! Abby loved the water fountains. It was so nice to get away and have some free time to sightsee! Abby was a sweet girl and slept surprisingly well in her pack n play! She also enjoyed playing on our bed! On Saturday we had lunch on the patio at a quaint restaurant called 300 EAST and then made our way to Belmont, NC to the Daniel Stowe Botanical Gardens which were beautiful! Here are some shots from our trip.
